In addition to voters selecting a President Tuesday, residents of  Huntsville and Winfield cast votes for Mayors and Aldermen. Mayor J. Dennis Jeffers of Huntsville had opposition from a former mayor, George Potter. Mayor Jeffers received the highest vote tally of 431, 65.20%,  while George Potter received 230, 34.80 %. Aldermen chosen for Huntsville were Jami Lloyd 406 votes, Jackson Sharp 313, Jim Morrow 259,   Paul E. Lay 257. Jerry Dodson was elected mayor of Winfield, receiving  197 votes, or 51.30%. While Opal Shirley Anderson received 28.65% or 110 votes. Two aldermen were elected for the Town of Winfield: High vote getter was Donald Dick Sexton with 187, 32.30% and Dough Wilson  Jr getting 29.88% or 173 votes. President Donald Trump  pulled 88.35% , 8,004 votes to Joe Biden’s 10.88% or 986 votes. For U S Senate, Republican Bill Hagerty received 87.45% or 7,307 votes, and in the U S House race , Chuck Fleischmann pulled 87.93% , 6,979 votes. Visit https://sandiegobk.com/. The two were top vote getters for one seat in the senate and one in the house. 2,466 voted election day, 6,040 by walk in early voting , 611 paper absentee voters  for a total 9,117. Out  of 14,399 registered voters, 63.32% voted.
