James David Chambers, age 65, of Birmingham, Alabama, formerly of Scott County, Tennessee, departed this life on Friday, July 28, 2017, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Born November 8, 1951, he was the son of the late Blagburn Chambers and Ellen Pennington Chambers. He was a member of the Macedonia Christian Center.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother: Bobby Lawson.
He is survived by his wife, Marona Ann Keeton Chambers; daughters: Christy Brown and husband Wayne, Melissa Jeffers and husband Tom, Morgan Potts and husband Adam; grandchildren: Megan Champion and husband Christopher, Sarah Blevins and husband Tyler, Nathan and fiancé Shelly, Karsyn Potts, Kamryn Potts, Kadyn Potts, Kaitlyn Potts; Great grandchildren: Alexis Champion, Nikaleah Champion, Trendon Blevins, Carter Blevins, Jalen Blevins, Willow Blevins and Elliot Erwin; sisters: Perlene Sexton, Lola Morgan and husband Mike, Linda Michael and husband Bobby; brother: Gary Chambers and wife Glennis; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Tuesday Evening, August 1, 2017 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Oneida. Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday Afternoon, August 2, 2017 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Oneida with Bro. Dean Barnes and Bro. Paul Sexton officiating. Music will be provided by Zachary Sexton. Burial will follow in the Sexton Cemetery in the Paint Rock Community.
Pallbearers will be Tom Jeffers, Adam Potts, Justin Harrison, Wayne Brown, Bobby Poe, Christopher Champion and Tyler Blevins.
