Scott Jobless Rate Remains Highest In State

Tenncare Announces The Opening Of Standard Spend Down

Nashville, TN (2010-09-23) The TennCare Standard Spend Down program is opening enrollment for the first time to new applicants on Monday, October 4, 2010.  Standard Spend Down is available through a waiver to the Medicaid program for a limited number of low income individuals, or those with high, unpaid medical bills who are aged, blind, disabled, or the caretaker relative of a Medicaid eligible child. Tennessee August Unemployment Rate 9.6 Percent

Nashville, TN (2010-09-20) Tennessee Commissioner of Labor & Workforce Development James Neeley announced today Tennessee’s unemployment rate for August was 9.6 percent, down one-tenth of a percentage point from the revised July rate of 9.7 percent. The August 2009 rate was 10.9 percent. The national unemployment rate for August 2010 was 9.6 percent, up from the July rate of 9.5 percent. [ Read More ]
