Tennessee Records Third Straight Month of Record-Low Unemployment Rate

Nashville, TN (2017-09-14) Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD) Commissioner Burns Phillips has announced a preliminary unemployment rate of 3.3 percent for August, declining one-tenth of a percent from the previous month. No Lane Closures on Tennessee Highways for Labor Day Weekend

Nashville, TN (2017-09-01) The Tennessee Department of Transportation will halt all lane closure activity on interstates and state highways for the Labor Day holiday travel period.  Construction crews stopped all lane closure activity on Friday and roadways will remain open through 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5.  This will provide maximum roadway capacity for motorists traveling during the busy Labor Day holiday.
