TDOT Halts Lane Closures on Tennessee Highways During Thanksgiving Holiday

TDOT Announces No Lane Closures for Labor Day Holiday

Nashville, TN (2018-08-30) The Tennessee Department of Transportation will halt all lane closure activity on interstates and state highways for the Labor Day holiday travel period.  Construction crews will stop all lane closure activity beginning at noon on Friday, August 31 through 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4.  This will provide maximum roadway capacity for motorists traveling during the busy Labor Day holiday. Sen. Yager participates in event recognizing Governor Haslam’s signing of major legislation addressing Tennessee’s opioid epidemic

Nashville, TN (2018-07-03) Senator Ken Yager (R-Kingston) recently participated in a ceremony with Governor Bill Haslam at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville marking the signing of a new law to fight Tennessee’s opioid epidemic.   Yager’s legislation addresses the law enforcement and treatment components of a three-pronged plan to curb abuse, while a separate measure deals with the prevention component.  Both laws, which are part of Gov.
