Scott Ranks 59th In Health Outcomes In Tennessee

Madison, Wisconsin and Princeton, N.J. (2011-03-30) Williamson County continues to have the healthiest residents in Tennessee, while Benton County is the least healthy county in the state, according to the annual County Health Rankings, released today by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.  ScottCounty ranked 59th out of the state’s 95 counties.   In comparison, Campbell and Fentress Counties ranked 92nd and 93rd in the annual report.  [ Read More ]

President Extends Unemployment Insurance Deadline

Nashville, TN (2010-03-04) An emergency act signed into law Tuesday night by President Obama will allow many of Tennessee’s unemployed more time to receive unemployment benefits. The measure extends the eligibility period from February 28 to March 30 to transition into existing extended benefit programs.
