County Schools Received Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program Funding

Nashville, TN (2010-05-28) Governor Phil Bredesen and Education Commissioner Timothy Webb today announced 121 elementary schools have been chosen to participate in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program for the 2010-11 school year. The program allows students to newly experience fresh fruits and veggies in hopes their consumption will increase throughout their lives.  For the first time in the program’s history, all the Scott County School System’s primary schools received grant funds.
