Oneida Man Attempts to Elude Police in a Minivan

Oneida, TN (2017-11-22) An Oneida man, who was behind the wheel of a mini-van, attempted to avoid arrest Tuesday afternoon by leading local authorities on a high-speed chase through Oneida.  The pursuit started near one of the busiest intersections in town, wound its way around a local business, and then through a residential neighborhood.  It eventually spilled back onto the highway before the suspect was corralled in the backyard of Main Street residence. County/City Approve Resolutions Supporting US27 Improvements in Oneida

Huntsville, TN (2017-11-20) The Scott County Board of County Commissioners has given tentative approval of a resolution which would allow TDOT to mitigate a wetland issue associated with the pending improvements to the US27 between Industrial Lane and Second Street in Oneida.  Last week, the Oneida City Council signed off on the proposed plan, which would alter the intersection of U.S. 27 and Depot Street. Excessive Consumption Leads to Charges Against Scott County Men

Huntsville, TN (2017-11-14) Two Scott County men who were nearly twice the legal limit of intoxication have been booked on alcohol-related charges. Joseph A. Litton, 38, of Huntsville and James L. Bayliff, 69, of Robbins were booked into the Scott County Jail last week following separate incidents involving alcohol.  According to authorities, the pair was highly intoxicated when they were taken into custody.
