John M. Ivey III age 62 of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at the North Knoxville Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born on December 10, 1955 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Bill and Ann Patton Ivey. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oneida. He is survived by his wife: Sue Ivey; children: Ashley McMillen and husband John and BJ Ivey; sister: Jane Sullivan; brother: Sam Ivey; grandchildren: Zach McMillen and Lily McMillen; special friends: David Cross and Doug Goss and many more special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Friends may visit with the Ivey family on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Oneida with Bro. Randy Presnell officiating. Burial will follow in the Carson Memorial Cemetery in Oneida, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be: Daniel Terry, Robbie Marlow, Chris Honeycutt, Greg Marlow, Chris Marlow, and Jeremy Orick. Honorary Pallbearers: John McMillen, Zach McMillen, Sam Ivey, Matthew Sullivan, and Chris Rice. Lanta Edna Trammell King Reynolds, age 78 of Winfield, TN passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN.  Born September 15, 1939 at Trammell Mountain in Winfield, TN, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Gladys Duncan Trammell.  Lanta was a longtime member of the Second Bethlehem Baptist Church.  She was the church Sunday School Secretary for over forty years. Garry Odell Williams, age 59, of Oneida, TN

Garry Odell Williams age 59, of Oneida, Tennessee, departed this life on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the U. T. Medical Center, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born July 26, 1958 in Oneida, Tennessee, to Menda Ann Burke Williams and the late Roddie Odell Williams. He was a member of the Black Oak Baptist Church and he was an avid fisherman. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Will Haden and Rilda Burke, Ruben and Mandy Williams; brother-in-law, Larry Pendergrass; nephew, Tucker Haden Williams; uncles, T. L., Lewis, Howard, Mitchell, Ova, and Ester Burke, Dilsome, Ray and Ronda Williams; aunts, Dorothy Marcum, Alice Hamby, Idnea Jeffers and Helen Norris. He is survived by his daughter, Monika Ann West and husband Darby; mother, Menda Ann Williams; (2) grandchildren, Lakham West and Lucas West; brother, Christopher Todd Williams and wife Andrea; sister, Beverly Ann Pendergrass; special nieces, Peyton Pendergrass and Annah Williams; special nephews, Travis Pendergrass and wife April, Dustin Pendergrass and Christopher Williams; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 A.M., until time of funeral service at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 21, 2018 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Oneida with Bro. Crestin Burke and Bro. Kyle Keeton officiating. Music will be provided by Quentin Acres and Mark Hancock. Burial will follow in the West Cemetery in the Station Camp Community. Pallbearers will be, Darby West, Dustin Pendergrass, Chris Williams, Tim Miller, Tim Claborine, Jackie Abbott, Jason Miller, Gene Marcum, Travis Pendergrass and Christopher Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Lillard Miller, Crestin Burke, Vence Jeffers, Daniel Marcum and Dale Burke. Final arrangements for Mr. Garry Odell Williams are under the direction of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida.

Earline George, age 81

Earline George age 81, passed away at the Indiana University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.  The Lord called our loving and sweet mother to be with him on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.  She was born in Columbia, Kentucky on February 18, 1937 to Riley Thomas and Leoner (Blaydes) Bennett. Earline was a kind and sweet, loving lady who will be missed by many.  She never did anyone wrong and loved watching the kids play.  She loved football, going to the Titans and Colts games.  Simply put she just loved life. Earline loved and lived with her partner in life Glen Mays in Lebanon, Tennessee for many years.  They retired on the same day and began a life of travel and enjoyed life immensely.  They moved to Oneida, Tennessee to be closer to family because of their health to finish their life together.  There they joined the Pine Hill Baptist Church.  After Mr. Mays passed away in October 2016, Earline moved to Indiana to be with family so they could care for her.  They both shared many joys of their travel with family and friends. Earline was the oldest of eight brothers and sisters.  Three preceded her in death: Lennis Bennett, who passed at an early age, Ray Bennett, and Chester Bennett who passed in Glasgow, Kentucky. Survived by brothers: Coy, Carroll Wayne, and Raymond Bennett all from Columbia, Kentucky; sisters: Rosie and Mary Louise Bennett of Columbia, Kentucky and Mayrine (Calvin) of Nicholasville, Kentucky; four children: Rick George, who passed in 2006, Deborah (Darren) Fowler of Greensburg, Indiana, Donna (Jeff) Smith of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Kenneth (Ginger) George of Greenwood, Indiana; seven grandchildren: Matthew West, Lisa Schneider, Teresa Smith, Amanda Barnhorst, Daniel Smith, Erica George and Susanne George; nine great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. While in Indiana she lived with her daughter Debbie and family and then as a resident at the Heritage House Rehabilitation and Assisted Living.  She loved her stay there and made many friends who will miss her tremendously.  She loved the Lord and singing the old gospel songs.  She is truly an angel in Heaven. Friends may visit with the George family Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 4 pm until time of funeral service at 5 pm in the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery. West-Murley Funeral Home is serving the family of Earline George.

Hildred Levon Mason, age 60, of Huntsville, TN

Hildred Levon Mason, age 60, of the Capitol Hill Community passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Huntsville Manor Nursing and Rehab Center in Huntsville, TN. Mr. Mason was born to the late Raymond and Pauline Patterson Mason. He was of the Baptist Faith. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers, Leslie, Murrie, and Jeffrey; one nephew, Nicky Mason; grandparents, Felin and Stella Mason, and Nelson and Allie Patterson; one brother-in-law, Willard Jones. He is survived by one sister, Joan Mason Jones; two brothers, Bennit and Bea Mason and Dwaine and Pat Mason; a special cousin, Janis Mason Owens and husband Odis; as well as nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Levon’s wishes were cremation. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
