Campbell County Trio Arrested In Drug Operation

Huntsville, TN (2012-01-24) Three persons from Campbell County have been arrested following a successful drug operation by the Scott County Sheriff’s Department.

Joseph Brian Dople, 39, and Adam Wayne Shepperd, 34, both of Jacksboro, and Sharon Renea Campbell, 37, of LaFollette were arrested late Tuesday night by the Scott County Sheriff’s Department after allegedly trying to buy a powerful painkiller from a law enforcement led drug operation.

Authorities claim Dople and Shepperd attempted to purchase 150 tablets of Oxycontin, a powerful, schedule II controlled substance.  The pair, stated authorities, was also found in possession of more than $1300 dollars, money they allegedly intended to use to purchase the drugs.  Campbell, added authorities, called one of the suspects in the middle of the exchange.  She arrived shortly thereafter, and was also taken into custody.

In addition to the money, the Sheriff’s Department also seized two vehicles in the operation.

Sheriff Mike Cross, Chief Deputy Ronnie Phillips, Drug Agent Kris Lewallen, and Detective Tommy Silcox took part in the operation.

The trio was booked on criminal conspiracy, a felony charge stemming from the attempted possession, purchase or sale of illicit drugs.  Bond for each was set at $15,000.
