Sexual Offenders “Wrapped Up” By
Sheriff’s Department
Huntsville, TN (2011-12-13) The Scott County
Sheriff’s Department arrested four persons on sex-related crimes last
Friday. The arrests were connected to the
department’s crackdown on sexual offenders.
On
Friday, the Scott County Sheriff’s Department unleashed the first phase of a
two-part plan to bust criminal offenders throughout the county. The action, dubbed “Operation Rudolph”,
targeted sexual predators, past and present.
In the latest effort, the department arrested three persons on new sex
crimes, including one juvenile. Two
others were sought for failure to maintain their sexual offender registration.
Kenneth
Harold Adams, 75, of Helenwood was picked up on two separate warrants for
allegedly having inappropriate sexual contact with two female victims, both
under the age of 13. In the first
warrant, Detective Jennifer Culver of the Scott County Sheriff’s Department
charged that Adams molested a young lady on at
least two occasions. The suspect
allegedly digitally penetrated the victim, who at the time of the alleged crime
between 2001 and 2003, was reportedly in the first grade. Adams was
charged with rape of a child (two counts).
In the second warrant, Adams is accused
fondling and digitally penetrating another female victim under the age of
13. The alleged abuse occurred between
2000 and 2003. In the second case, Adams was charged with rape of a child (three counts) and
aggravated sexual battery.
Adams was booked on all charges on Friday, December 9,
2011. He is currently being held in the
Scott County Jail under a $100,000 secure bond.
Shon Curtis Davis, 24, of Huntsville was booked on statutory rape
charges. Davis is accused of having a sexual
relationship with a female under the age of 17.
David
Lee Terry, 59, of Oneida
was charged with failure to report in a timely manner. In the warrant, Detective Culver claimed
Terry did not report, as required by state law, to her during the 14-day window
near his birthday.
Christopher
William Burke, 35, of Oneida
was also sought, but not arrested, for failure to report in a timely manner.
