Scott County Pair Booked On Meth Charges

Huntsville, TN (2011-11-14) Earlier this month, the Scott County Sheriff’s Department booked two Scott County men on drug charges related to the manufacture of methamphetamine.

According to a warrant filed by the Scott County Sheriff’s Department, Jamie Henry, 28, of Helenwood and Joseph (JD) Winnie, 26, of Oneida were booked on November 1, 2011 in the Scott County Jail on charges related to the alleged manufacture of methamphetamine.  According to a warrant filed by the Scott County Sheriff’s Department, officers, acting on information received from a third party, went to Henry’s mother’s house on Helenwood Detour Road looking for a possible methamphetamine lab.  After gaining the mother’s consent, authorities allegedly found an active one-pot meth lab in an outbuilding on the property.  While both suspects admitted to bringing the lab to the residence the previous evening, Henry and Winnie, stated the warrant, pointed-the-finger at each other, claiming the lab belong to the other party.

Henry and Winnie were each charged with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of the drug free school zone.  Bond for each was set at $125,000.  Both remain incarcerated in the Scott County Jail.
