Buttram Crowned Miss Pre-Teen Fairest Of The Fair

Oneida, TN (2011-08-25) Twelve year old Kirklynn Shyann Buttram was crowned Miss Pre-Teen at the 10^th annual pageant held Thursday night at the Scott County Fairgrounds in Oneida.

Kirklynn, the 12-year-old daughter of Kirk and Tami Buttram of Helenwood was chosen from a field of 33 contestants Thursday night to be crowned Miss Pre-Teen at the 85^th Annual Scott County Fair. A 7^th grade student at Oneida Middle School, Kirklynn is one year member of the Oneida Lady Indians basketball and fast pitch softball teams, She is also a member of the OMS Beta Club. Outside school, Kirklynn is a typical pre-teen, who likes to ride ATVs, hang out with her friends, going to the lake, swimming, nudding, shopping and texting. Kirklynn hopes to finish high school with honor and attend the University of North Carolina. She is undecided on her collegiate path. Kirklynn was also chosen by her fellow contestants Miss Congeniality. She was sponsored by Tami’s Hair and Nail Salon.

First runner up to the crown Thursday night was Hannah Nichole Newport, the 13-year-old daughter of James and Kim Newport of Robbins. An 8^th grade student at Robbins Elementary, Hannah’s enjoys cheerleading, hunting with her father, ATV riding, texting and spending time with her family and friends. After graduating high school, Hannah wants to attend college and become a veterinarian.

Madison Elizabeth Lay, the 12-year-old daughter of Jack and Cyndi Lay, of Oneida, was chosen second runner up. A 7^th grade student at Oneida Middle School, where she is a member of the Lady Indians fast pitch softball team. She is also a member of the OMS Beta Club. She enjoys four-wheeling, swimming, gymnastics, and being with her friends. Maddie is a member of the White Rock Baptist Church. She is hoping to pursue a major in physical therapy and specialize in helping disabled children. She was sponsored by Lay Family Furniture.

Contestants making the top eight were: Gracie Cox, the 11-year-old daughter of Nikki Cox, Courtney Addison Sexton, the 13-year-old daughter of Dustin and Michelle King and Corey Sexton, Bailee Michelle Strunk, the 11-year-old daughter of Brian and Joyce Strunk, Baylee Rheann Thomas, the 12-year-old daughter of Bryan and Marcy Thomas and Buffy Daisy, and Raven Maurice Wright, the 12-year-old daughter of Jodie and T.J. Green.

Rounding out the top eighteen were: Heather Rose Bunch, the 13-year-old daughter of Wayne and Tammy Bunch, Rosa Lorraine Burchfield, 13-year-old daughter of Kenny Burchfield and Michelle Burchfield, Chloe Childres the 13-year-old daughter of Jimi Rose Payne and Paul Childres, Ekaterina Gabrielle Kidd, 13-year-old daughter of Greg and Jackie Chamberlain, Chloe Lane Matthews, the daughter of Mark and Jamie Matthews, Brittany Anne May, the 13-year-old daughter of Jimmy and Pam May, Tessa Nicole Sharp, the 13-year-old daughter of James and Jodie Sharp, Baleigh Cheyne Smith, the 12-year-old daughter of Kendra Tyra Overton and David and Lisa Smith, Cloie Arieana Thompson, the 13-year-old daughter of Aron and Rosemary Thompson, and Michelle Nichole Upchurch, the 12-year-old daughter of Tiffany Upchurch.
