Chambers Crowned Little Miss Junior
Taylor,
the 7-year-old daughter of Dennis and Sandi Chambers of Helenwood,
was chosen the cutest little cowgirl from the field of 28 contestants in
Tuesday night’s Little Miss Junior pageant.
A second grade student at Huntsville Elementary,
Shayne Alene King, the 8-year-old daughter of Rhyan King was picked the first runner up to the Little Miss Junior crown. A 3rd grade student at Oneida Elementary, Shayne was sponsored by Pennington Insurance Agency. Shayne excels at sports, playing both basketball and soccer. She also takes dance classes. Her aspirations for the future include being a babysitter, a ballerina, and either a professional basketball or soccer player.
Kenlee Mistell Duncan, the 6-year-old daughter of Tara Douglas and Darren Duncan was chosen second runner up. Kenlee, a 1st grade student at Oneida Elementary, enjoys going to church, riding ATVs, riding her pony, Rose, swimming and playing outside. As she grows older, Kenlee wants to be a cheerleader and a veterinarian.
Contestants rounding out the top fiver were: Karmyn Cayenne Krahn, the 7-year-old daughter of Kyle and Crystal Krahn and Shelby Ann Lawson, the 6-year-old daughter of Keith and Jessica Lawson and Amanda Lowe.
Contestants making the top fifteen were: McKenzie Anderson, the 7-year-old daughter of Andrew and Ina Anderson, Meisha Leann Boatwright, the 7-year-old daughter of Donald and Amy Boatwright, Bethany Byrd, the 8-year-old daughter of Paula Soard and Scott Byrd, Chloe Faith Lowe, the 7-year-old daughter of Eugene and Selena Lowe, Sophia Hope Matthews, the 8-year-old daughter of Mark and Jamie Matthews, Raven Sierra Mullis, the 8-year-old daughter of Cody and Ella Mullis, Kloey Nicole Sexton, the 7-year-old daughter of John and Dannielle Sexton, Meg LaShae Sexton, the 7-year-old daughter of Jodi and Chad Marcum and Jason and Lisa Sexton, Brylee Sage Strunk, the 6-year-old daughter of Heath and Lesley Strunk, and Lexi Rayne Upchurch, the 8-year-old granddaughter of Roger and Henrietta Upchurch and Mona Sexton and the daughter of Jared and Bri Upchurch and Stacey Sexton.
Tuesday night ended an era at the annual Scott County Fair, marking the final time contestants in the Little Miss Junior pageant will wear western attire during the pageant.
