DesJarlais “Listening To Tennessee” Tour Stops In Scott August 25

 

            Washington, DC (2011-08-18) Representative Scott DesJarlais’ (TN-04) “Listening to Tennessee” tour will stop in Scott County on Thursday, August 25, 2011.  The open forum meeting will be held at the Scott County Office in Huntsville.

            Representative DesJarlais will visit Scott County on Thursday, August 25, 2011 as part of the Congressman’s “Listening to Tennessee” tour, a series of meetings scheduled to solicit ideas and opinions from his constituents in Tennessee’s Fourth Congressional District.

            “Having a chance to meet with and hear from constituents is a critical part of being a Member of Congress and is a top priority of mine,” said Rep. DesJarlais. “Whether it is through daily conversations with individuals on Facebook or sitting down with business leaders during my Tennessee Job Creators Tour, I look to the people of Tennessee’s Fourth Congressional District for guidance as to how to best represent them in Congress, .” he added.  Fortunately for me, I’m blessed with a well-informed, vocal constituency that has presented me with no shortage of ideas on how we can get our nation back on the right fiscal track and start creating jobs. I look forward to people coming out and continuing the conversation,” he concluded.     

Representative DesJarlais will be in Scott County on Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the Scott County Office Building, located at 2845 Baker Highway in Huntsville.  The town hall style meeting is free and open to the public.
