Talent Competition To Benefit Playground Development

 

            Oneida, TN (2011-08-02) A local dance competition will benefit the development of a proposed all-inclusive playground development at the Oneida City Park.

            “Dancing Like The Stars,” a charity event benefitting the proposed “Play With No Boundaries” all-inclusive playground at the Oneida City Park, will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 6:00 pm. in the Oneida Performing Arts Center.

The event will feature a host of local couples who will showcase their talent for the worthy cause.  Participants include:  Jamie and Lisa Cotton, Deloy and Sharon Miller, Jan and Peggy Jeffers, Kevin and Sandra Byrd, Jason and Sherry Terry, Jordan and Mandy Smith, Jessica Jeffers and Chuck Jeffers, Trent Coffey and Deena Huff, Pat and Betty McBroom and Phillips and Lori Jones.

Tickets for the event are on sale now at Oneida High School and any branch of First National Bank of Oneida.  Tickets are $20 each or a table of four next to the dance floor is $150.

“Play With No Boundaries” is a playground designed to allow children with special needs to play alongside their siblings and friends without the limitations of typical outdoor playground equipment.  The structure can be used by all ages, toddlers through adults.
