Winners Announced During June TWRC Meeting for State’s Third Managed Elk Hunt

Nashville, TN (2011-06-21) Four persons have won the right to participate in Tennessee’s third-ever managed elk hunt. The winners were announced last Friday during the June meeting of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Commission at the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency Region II Ray Bell Building in Nashville.

John Mark Alston of Knoxville, Terrell S. Holt of Columbia, Jody A. Moore of Loudon, and Richard R. Rutherford of Walland, all Tennessee residents, were selected in a computer drawing from 6,840 applicants last week in Nashville.

The elk hunt is scheduled October 17-21, 2011 at the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area, which is located in Anderson, Campbell, Morgan and Scott Counties.
