“People who need home repairs are invited to apply now for the free services ASP will provide here from early June through early August,” according to Becca Knight, Director of Home Repair Ministries. “All applications submitted will be evaluated by our summer staff who will also select the homes we will work on this summer,” she explained.

Applications are available at the following locations for Scott and Morgan County residents:

  • Appalachian Habitat for Humanity – Sandy Spurling, 135 E. Robbins Rd., P.O. Box 36, Robbins, TN, 37852
  • Morgan-Scott Project, 1022 Old Deer Lodge Pike, Deer Lodge, TN 37726

The application can also be downloaded online at the ASP website www.asphome.org or is available here.

To be considered for this summer’s repair program, residents must complete these applications and return them by June 5th to any of the above locations.

Knight also mentioned that if a local contact is not available, people may call ASP at 1-800-289-4254, ext. 234.

Using volunteers from church youth groups and schools throughout the country, ASP will coordinate repairs on foundations, floors, porches, plumbing, wheelchair ramps, electrical systems, doors, windows, and roofs. Weatherization and other projects will be included.
