Incumbent Directors Retain Seats

 

            Oneida, TN (2011-05-21) Incumbent directors of Plateau Electric Cooperative retain their seats for another term.

            1,284 persons went to Plateau Electric Cooperative’s Oneida office on Saturday, May 21, 2011 to elect two directors to their board.  Incumbents Mark Kline and Jim Litton fared well in the competition to hold on to their seats on the PEC Board of Directors.

            In the race for director from the town of Oneida, incumbent director Jim Litton was challenged by former Plateau Electric Cooperative employee Linda Lay.  Litton received 661 votes, while Lay polled 580.

            Seeking a seat on the board from Scott County were current director Mark Kline, along with former County Commissioner Leonard Bertram and business man R.L. Gibson.  Kline easily retained his seat on the board, with 906 votes cast in his favor.  Gibson and Bertram finished second and third, with 264 and 80 votes respectively.
