Scott County Idol Finalists Announced
Oneida, TN (201-03-15) Scott County Idol, a
musical benefit for the Scott County Relay for Life, will be held in April. The top twelve finalists for the title have
been announced.
Scott
County Idol, a local interpretation of the nationally acclaimed talent search
program American Idol, will showcase the ability of Scott
County’s most gifted vocalists on
Friday, April 8, 2011 at Scott
High School’s Little
Theater. After auditions last weekend,
the top twelve finalists have been named.
In
this year’s competition, contestants were divided into three age
categories: Pre-Teen (13 and under),
Teen (14-19); and Adult (20 and above).
In
the Pre-Teen division, finalists include:
- Brooke Brewster
– Brooke is the daughter of Laura Cannon & David Brewster. Brooke is
13 years old, attends Oneida
Middle School and
participates in her favorite sport Soccer. Brooke enjoys Music, singing,
riding 4 wheelers and texting.
- Robert “RJ”
Jeffers – RJ is the son of Bill & DeAnna
Jeffers. RJ is 11 years old and
attends Burchfield
Elementary School.
RJ enjoys fishing, video games, riding bikes, 4-wheelers and singing
Karaoke.
- Rhaylan Bowlin – Rhaylan is the
daughter of Rylan & Melissa Bowlin. Rhaylan attends Oneida Middle School and is 12 years old.
She enjoys Cheerleading, singing, hanging with her friends and keeping up
with her big sister Laken.
- Heavyn Lewallen – Heavyn is the
daughter of Chris & Brandy Lewallen. Heavyn is 11 years old, attends Burchfield Elementary
School and her hobbies include singing,
spelling and acting.
In the Teen
division, finalists are:
- Chelsie Duncan
– Chelsie is the daughter of Stefine
Duncan and the grandchild of Carlie & Peggy Duncan. Chelsie is 16 years old and attends Scott High School.
She enjoys singing, riding 4-wheelers, hanging out with Friends and
singing in Church.
- Tanique “Nikki”
Goad – Nikki is the daughter of Gerald & Melody Bradley. She is 16
years old and attends Scott
High School. Nikki
enjoys singing, reading, writing and texting all her friends.
- Jared Kidd
– Jared is the son of Jerry & Kimberly Kidd. Jared is 16 years old and
he attends Oneida
High School. His
hobbies include singing and dancing
- Tiffany
Chambers – Tiffany is the Daughter of Michael & Debbie Chambers.
Tiffany is 15 years old and attends Scott High School.
She enjoys singing and riding 4 wheelers.
Adult finalists
include:
- Ashlee Harness
– Ashlee is the daughter of Dwight & Waynette
Harness. Ashlee is employed by St. Mary’s of Scott County,
working as a phlebotomist in the Lab Department. Ashlee enjoys singing,
playing the flute, reading and attending Church.
- Amber Harness
– Amber is the daughter of Dwight & Waynette
Harness. Amber is employed by Lab Corps with UT Medical Center as a
Medical Laboratory Technician. She enjoys singing, reading and attending
Church. Amber and her sister Ashlee sing in Churches wherever the Lord
leads. Together they sing under the name “Blessed!”
- Deana Keith
– Deana is the daughter of Myra New and the late Dean Keith. Deana is also
supported by her Fiancée Rusty Crabtree and her soon to be step-daughter Rashell Crabtree. She is employed by Tennier Industries. Deana enjoys singing and riding
4-wheelers.
- Clint Keeton
– Clint is the son of Mike & Denise Keeton. Clint attends the University of Tennessee where he majors in
English. Clint is also employed by Oneida Water Department. He enjoys
playing music, sports and reading.
Scott County
Idol will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in Scott High School’s
Little Theater.
