Grand Jury Indicts Four

In the criminal court for Scott County, the July 2019 term of Grand Jurors returned 4 indictments.

Michael Alex Hernicz had 5 counts of charges. Vehicular assault, DUI 3rd offense, leaving the scene of an accident with injury, failure to render aid and evading arrest. Hernicz was reportedly driving under the influence when involved in an auto accident that caused injuries to Pamela Renee Sweat, January 27, 2018.

A 2 count indictment was returned against Jack Ray Brown for DUI 2nd offense, and violation of helmet law on or about May 25, 2019.

Dwyene Day, Jr was charged with simple possession of schedule II meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges were a result of June 23rd 2019 arrest. The jury issued a 2 count indictment.

A 3 count indictment was returned against Mark Allan Lay 2nd. Charges were possession of schedule II meth more  than point 50 with intent to sell or deliver. One count of possession of drug paraphernalia. His arrest occurred on September 25, 2019.

Charges are alleged and those charged are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Persons with similar names is purely coincidental.
