Gladys Jeffers, age 79, departed this life on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at the Oneida Nursing & Rehab Center in Oneida, Tennessee. Born June 20, 1940 in the Straight Fork Community to the late Willard and Ada Norris. She was a member of the Low Gap Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Jeffers; stepmother, Gladys Helen Norris; grandparents, Elbert and Florence Norris, Oscar and Ollie Byrd; children, Tammy, Freddie and Brenda Jeffers; brothers, Johnny and Manuel Norris; sisters-in-law, Neva, Talitha Norris, Ethel Jeffers, Lillie Sexton, Ruth Jeffers, Ida Brummett, Sarah Jeffers and Ruby Bauswell; brothers-in-law, Russell Brummett, Earl Carroll, Clarence Henry, Paris Mullins and Lebert Jeffers.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay Pike and husband Gary; grandchildren, Chuck Jeffers and wife Missy, Jason Jeffers and wife Sindi, Mike Jeffers and wife Shannon, Dustin Jeffers, Logan Pike, Todd Pike and wife Tabitha; great grandchildren, Caleb, Jaden, Evan, Emma, Tanner and Jordan; sisters, Louise Carroll, Hattie Henry, Wanda Dean Brummett, Anna Mae Grider and husband Bobby; brothers, O. E. Norris and wife Dorothy, Inman Norris and wife Teresa; step brother, Keith Day and wife Margaret; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 P.M. until time of funeral service at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday evening, September 18, 2019 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville with Bro. Chuck Jeffers and Bro. Jason Jeffers officiating. Music will be provided by Jaden Jeffers. Graveside service will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday morning, September 19, 2019 at the Slick Rock Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Jeremy King, Odell Brummett, Logan Pike, Mike Jeffers, Dustin Jeffers and Caleb Jeffers.
