Oneida Man Charged with Alleged Leaving the Scene of an Accident

On August 23rd, Officer Chad Jones, with the Oneida Police Department, was dispatched to the ETRHA office on Third Avenue.  Upon arrival, Officer Jones spoke with an employee and she stated that a blue Ford Expedition had hit the building and left.  While speaking with the employees, Chief Laxton met a vehicle that matched the description on Grave Hill.  Chief Laxton turned on the vehicle.  Dispatch received a call that a blue Ford Expedition had hit a tree and ran through a barbed wire fence on Smith Avenue.  The vehicle then went through the yard at the Oneida Guest House and ended up wrecking over an embankment.  Upon wrecking, the driver fled on foot.  Officer Jones received video footage from ETHRA and Sgt. Toby Jeffers identified Harce Allen to be the driver.  Allen was being housed at the Scott County Justice Center.  On August 25th, Officer Jones spoke with Allen at the Center about the incident that occurred on August 23rd.  Allen was read his rights and agreed to talk to Officer Jones admitting he was driving the vehicle on the 23rd.  He was charged with Driving on a Revoked License, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Reckless Driving.
