Cherokee Lake Selected to Host 2020 Fishing League Worldwide

Fishing League Worldwide (FLW), the world’s largest tournament fishing organization, announced today that Cherokee Lake has been selected to host the fourth event of the 25th season of the FLW Tower, April 2nd-5th, 2020, in Jefferson City, Tennessee.  The 25th season of the FLW Tour will feature seven regular season tournaments showcasing the best anglers in the world competing at top bass fisheries at peak times.

“Jefferson County and the City of Jefferson are extremely excited to host the FLW Tour once again on Cherokee Lake in 2020,” said Lauren Hurdle, Director of Tourism for the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce.  “Cherokee Lake is a fascinating fishery that has a proven track record of producing large limits of smallmouth bass throughout the entire field.  Not only does this make for great fishing for the pros, but it also makes an incredibly fun tournament to watch,” she added.

The FLW Tour has visited Cherokee Lake just one previously-in 2019- with 2020 marking the second visit in the Tour’s 25 year history.

The event will be hosted by the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce.
