On July 17th, Officer Brett Bond, with the Oneida Police Department was dispatched to a residence on Dean Hill Road on a complaint that an individual had a prowler at his mother’s house held at gunpoint. Upon arrival, Officer Bond found a male, identified as Nathan Huff, at the rear of the residence holding a door which led to the basement. Huff advised the officer he as armed with a firearm. Officer Bond disarmed Huff and was told there was a woman behind the door inside the basement. He also stated that he had been home and got a call from his mother’s caretaker. She had told Huff she had heard someone talking. Huff had come from his residence and discovered the woman in the basement whom he said “came at me.” Officer Bond opened the door and found a female, identified as Chessie L. King, inside with an unopened pocket knife clenched in her right fist. She was disarmed by Officer Bond. King stated she thought she was in her home. She was arrested and charged with Aggravated Burglary and transported to the Scott County Justice Center for booking.
