On July 21st, Officer Tyler Johnson, with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a call on Ridge Road in Robbins to an argument and gunshots fired. It was stated that a male was talking loudly and fired a shot and that the loud talking stopped. Upon arrival, Officer Johnson found the defendant, Henry Mills, in the woods behind a building on the property and as he exited the wood line he had a 12 gauge Mossberg shotgun in his hands. Mills laid the gun down when asked and was detained for safety reasons. He appeared to be under the influence of a central nervous system depressant of some type. After investigation, Mills stated to officers he had taken two xanex pills and one adipex pill and had some beer earlier. He also stated someone was after him and he was inside his mother’s residence he saw them put their face to the back door so he fired a shot that knocked the glass out and knocked the door open. Multiple spent shotgun shells were found littered inside and outside of the house. Mills was arrested and charged with Reckless Endangerment with Minor Injury and Possession of a Firearm while under the Influence. He was transported to the Scott County Justice Center for booking.
