Maxine Burton age 83, of Robbins, Tennessee, departed this life on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at her home. She was born March 31, 1936 in Morgan County, Tennessee to the late Frank Human and Millie Jane Lewallen Human.
Maxine was a active member of the Mt. View Missionary Baptist Church. she was secretary and member for over 50 years of the Sunshine Chapter #279 Eastern Star. She was also one of the founding members of the Scott County Volunteer Fire Department in Robbins Tn., an active member of the Scott County Hospital and a Volunteer Auxiliary since 2004, having logged over 2200 hours of volunteering. Maxine was the first Mother Advisor for Jane Assembly Order of Rainbows in Robbins, having over 28 girls to start and she was an active member of Robbins Community Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Burton; daughter, Donna Marlow; brothers, Frank Human, Jr., Johnnie Human, Harley Human, Charlie Human and James Hurst Human; sisters, Madelyn Stewart and Charline Human; father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Dollie Burton.
She is survived by her children, Brenda Byrge and husband Harold, Nancy Chitwood and husband Rick; (7) grandchildren, Tabitha Pike and husband Todd, Rebekah Smith, Brandon Byrge and wife Jennifer, Cory Chitwood, Caitlin Chitwood, Rachel Litton and husband Jeremy, Andrea Marlow; (8) great grandchildren, RaeLee Smith, Tanner Pike, Greyson Smith, Annalise Litton, Emmett Litton, Bowen Litton, Jaylie Marlow, Jensen Marlow, and unborn great grandson, Wyatt Byrge; sister, Sue Lawson Mutter; special friends, Phillip and Kim Kidd and June Ross; several nieces, nephews, family and friends. Graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M., Sunday morning, May 5, 2019 at the Robbins Cemetery with Bro. Phillip Kidd officiating. Music will be provided by Kim Kidd, Christin Neal and Brooke West.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Byrge, Todd Pike, Isiah Byrge, Jared Carson, Jerried Jeffers, Jeff Caldwell and Kevin Green.
Honorary Pallbearers will be RaeLee Smith, Tanner Pike and Greyson Smith.
