Cheryl Lynn Button Jeffers, age 67, of Huntsville, Tennessee, departed this life on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 20, 1951 in Logansport, Indiana, to the late William Button and Itris Render Button.
She attended the First United Methodist Church of Oneida, where she found a supportive church family that helped and supported her during her final months. Cheryl’s passion was nursing, with over 40 years in the medical field as a Registered Nurse, in Germany and many other states in the United States. Cheryl was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #92, North Judson, Indiana, for over 54 years, starting her membership at the age of 12 years old.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Itris Button; stepmother, Mary Button; infant son Thomas William Jeffers; stepson, Gary Lee Jeffers; grandparents, Harley & Flora Button and John & Mary Render; sisters Phyllis Jean Rowe, Bonnie Joyce Stoll & Mary Ann Salrin; brothers-in-law, John Stoll & Frank Rowe; in Laws, Thomas Jeffers and Harold Strunk.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 32 years, Gary Dean Jeffers; daughters, Angela Schott and husband William; Tara Sexton and husband Coby; Stepdaughter, Monica Jeffers; grandchildren Garrick, Caleb & Brianna Jeffers, Evan & Liam Schott, and Jaylee Sexton; brother, John Redlich; mother-in-law Ida Bell Jeffers Strunk; sisters-in-Law, Donna Boshears and husband Danny, Debbie Boshears and husband Dennis; brother-in-Law Larry Salrin and wife Bev; special nieces & nephew, Yvonne Stoll, Bonita & Genes Godsey; special friends, Carol Easterday, Teresa Silcox, Gail Miller, Angie York, Janice Bowling, Darrell Young, Tina Jeffers, and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday Evening, January 16, 2019, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville with Pastor David Gass officiating. Music will be provided by Ashley Botts, Regina Sharpe and Tosha Boshears. Graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday Morning, January 17, 2019, in the Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Garrick Jeffers, Caleb Jeffers, Dennis Boshears, Danny Boshears, Eric Boshears, Justin Boshears, Larry Silcox, and Tyler Ward.
