Paul Thurman Bowling age 56, of West Robbins, Tennessee, departed this life on January 4, 2019 at home with his family by his side. He was a member of the West Robbins Baptist Church in Robbins Tennessee. Paul enjoyed going to auctions, racing and gospel music.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sherman and Ida Bowling, Pharo and Tema Smithers; parents, Everett and Sarah Bowling; sisters, Mary Lois Byrd and Ida Bowling Smith; brother-in-law, Leonard Smith of Eton Georgia.
He is survived by his son, Derek Bowling, wife Felicia and grandson Simon of Robbins, Tennessee; loving sisters, Wilma Shannon and husband James of Muncie, Indiana, Margaret Day and husband Keith of Norma Tennessee, Beatrice Bouslog and husband Trey of Waterville, Ohio, Madgie Overton and husband Johnny of Robbins, Tennessee, Shirley Duncan of Robbins, Tennessee; brother, Larry Bowling and wife Gyretha of Chattsworth, Georgia; special brother-in-law, Jimmy D. Byrd of Robbins, Tennessee. Paul is also survived by many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Paul’s caregiver was very special to him, which was his sister, Madgie Overton and her husband Johnny.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January 6, 2019, in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville, with Bro. Tim Russell and Bro. Mike Carroll Officiating. Burial will follow in the Kilbeck Cemetery in the Black Creek Community in Robbins, Tennessee.
Pallbearers will be Adam Overton, Anthony Queener, Eddie Daugherty, Burt Newport, Trent Newport, Travis Duncan, Jamie Day, Terry Byrd and Lucas Goforth.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jimmy D. Byrd, Larry Wright, Allen Byrd, Austin Muse, Gary Ratliff, and Jerry Byrd.
