Oneida, TN (2019-01-01) Greed may have been the undoing of a thief that allegedly carted out more than $2,000 in merchandise from Walmart in Oneida.
Marca D. Rose, 27, of Winfield was booked into the Scott County Jail Saturday for allegedly stealing goods from Walmart in Oneida. According to arresting officer Investigator Dustin Burke of the Oneida Police Department, the suspect had already gotten out of the store with more than $2,000 in goods but had gone back to fill another cart.
Authorities say that loss prevention employees at the store confronted Rose, and she attempted to exit the store. She was met at the doors by Chief Darryl Laxton and Burke.
Rose allegedly had stolen goods in her vehicle valued at $2,309.23.
In addition to theft charges, Rose was also charged with being a fugitive from justice. Authorities say she was wanted in McCreary County, KY for violation of probation.
