Oneida, TN (2019-01-01) A Winfield man that allegedly made a deal to sell methamphetamine to a person working with local law enforcement is facing felony charges.
William H. Lawson, 29, of Winfield was arrested last week following a undercover drug operation by the Oneida Police Department. According to a warrant filed by K-9 Officer Toby Jeffers, Lawson had allegedly agreed to meet a confidential informant for the purpose of selling him or her meth. Instead of the buyer, Lawson was met by law enforcement.
Authorities say that Lawson had 1.5 grams of meth on him.
Lawson was charged with the sale and delivery of meth, a schedule-II controlled substance; and violation of the drug free school zone act.
