Huntsville, TN (2018-11-08) An argument between a Helenwood couple that prompted the neighbors to call the cops resulted in drug charges against the pair.
Daniel R. Pike, 34, and Dakota J. Humfleet, 25, both of Helenwood were booked into the Scott County Jail early last Saturday morning following a domestic squabble at the couple’s home in Helenwood. According to an arrest warrant filed by K-9 Deputy Daniel Garrett of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, deputies found drugs and drug paraphernalia at the home.
Authorities say that Humfleet had a bag inside her purse that contained a host of drug paraphernalia. “There’s a set of scales and other stuff in that,” Humfleet reportedly told deputies. Inside the bag and her purse, authorities say they found 18 hypodermic syringes, snorting straws, spoons, two pill crushers, multiple small baggies, and a set of digital scales.
Deputies reportedly found a small amount of marijuana on Pike, along with spoon and a hypodermic syringe in his jacket. After Pike was transported to the jail, authorities say they found a pair of snorting straws and a couple of small baggies in his back pocket.9
Pike was charged with simple possession of marijuana and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Humfleet was booked on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
