Oneida, Tennessee: Earn up to 29 points toward your GO Big Challenge patch when you opt outdoors and hike with a ranger! Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area will be conducting another GO Big 2018 Challenge Healthy Hike along the historic No Business Trail Saturday, September 29, at 10:00 a.m. (ET).
Join a ranger at the Terry Cemetery parking lot for a moderate to strenuous 6 mile hike. We’ll explore this beautiful trail that follows No Business Creek while stopping at some of the historical sites located along the way such as the Boyatt Family Farm and Cemetery. Water shoes are necessary to cross No Business Creek, so be prepared! Bring water, snacks, bug spray, and lunch to enjoy, and don’t forget to bring your GO Big Challenge booklet so you can rack up on those points located along our journey!
The GO Big 2018 Challenge is a year-long, park-wide, all-inclusive event designed to motivate visitors to go out and explore their park. Participants will earn points by answering questions about the nature and history of the park that will require exploration in search of site-specific information. Some answers may even require a photo to be taken. Points will also be given for miles hiked, biked, paddled, or equestrian-ridden, so you can get started today!
