Wartburg, TN (2018-09-09) The Obed Wild and Scenic River will be offering a healthy hike along the Emory River Gorge section of the Cumberland Trail on Saturday, September 15. Along the way on this moderate-to-strenuous 2.5-mile trail, we will view several sandstone rock formations which dot the landscape. We will also enjoy a stunning view of the confluence of the Obed and Emory rivers. Those interested in attending are asked to meet the park ranger at the Nemo Day-Use parking area, located just off of Catoosa Road in Morgan County, at 10:00 a.m. (ET). Please be sure to wear sturdy footwear. You might also want to bring your camera. No reservations are required for this free program.
