Huntsville Man Accused of Abusing his Intellectually Impaired Brother

Huntsville, TN (2018-05-15) A Bull Creek man has been jailed after authorities say he abused his intellectually impaired brother.

Kenneth W. Lawson, 54, of Huntsville was booked into the Scott County Jail on assault charges after authorities say he physically abused his intellectually impaired brother.  According to an arrest warrant penned by Sgt. Danny Phillips of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, Lawson allegedly struck his brother resulting in him bleeding profusely from a head wound.

Authorities say the victim was intellectually impaired and unable to speak but showed them with his body and hands what had happened. Lawson is also accused of trying to rape the victim.  Authorities say the victim was covered with blood from head to toe, and Lawson had blood on his pants.  After the assault, authorities say that the victim ran from his brother and locked himself in the bathroom.

Lawson was charged with assault.
