Everett Eugene Crabtree, age 51, of Huntsville, TN

Everett Eugene Crabtree, age 51, of Huntsville, Tennessee completed his earthly journey after his 16 month battle of kidney cancer, at 2:56 am, which was when he would normally be getting ready to begin his work day at a job he loved and took great pride in. Eugene was a strong man, hard worker, and an excellent provider for his family. He was born on April 29, 1967 in Scott County, Tennessee, to the late Everett Crabtree and Vianna Day Crabtree.

He was a faithful member of Byrges Creek United Baptist Church of Huntsville, Tennessee. His love for the Lord and his church family showed through his many testimonies.

Preceded in death was his dad, Everett Crabtree, who he loved dearly; mother-in-law, Barbara Lawson, who he liked nothing better than to pick at; brother-in-law, Randell Warren, who he thought of as a brother; close cousin, Johnny Green, and by one of his spiritual inspirations, Darlene Lawson.

He is survived by the love of his life, of 29 years, Lisa Lynn Silcox Crabtree, who he married on November 12, 1989 at the home of Gilbert Jeffers; one son, Tyler Scott Crabtree, who he was proud of and loved very much, wife Renee Martin Crabtree, who he loved as his own daughter in his heart; one daughter, Elysia Jean Crabtree, who had him wrapped around her finger. He was a cherished Papaw to two grandchildren, Julia Reagan and Maverick Scott Crabtree, who he was more than happy to tell people, “I don’t spoil them, they spoil me.” His mother, Vianna Crabtree, who he loved dearly; one brother, Danny Lee Crabtree, who he said, “was always sneaky to not get in trouble with mom and dad”, and girlfriend, Heather of Huntsville, Tennessee; one sister, Sandra Jean Crabtree Warren, who he said, “never got in trouble anyway”, and her late husband, Randall Scott Warren of Huntsville, Tennessee; father-in-law, Floyd Silcox; two brothers-in-law, Junior Silcox and Franklin Silcox of Huntsville, Tennessee; one sister-in-law, Denise Henry, who he loved to aggravate, and husband William Henry, who he had many adventures with and he loved as a brother, of Oneida, Tennessee. Eugene has many nephews, great nephews, nieces, great nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other family members and friends who he cherished and loved spending time with. Special friends include, Jerry Simpson, Kaleb Howard, Kelley Krahn, David “Blue” Day, and Tyler Byrge.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 4:00 p.m., until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday evening, May 15, 2018 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday morning, May 16, 2018 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville with Bro. Dudley Harness, Bro. J.R. Massengale and special cousin, Bro. Andy Day officiating. Music will be provided by Trea Byrge.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Byrge, Arvel “Red” Blevins, Eugen Lay, Austin Lowe, Cole Lowe and Michael Goins.

Honorary pallbearers will be William Henry, David “Blue” Day, and Scott Mason. Leading him one last time, Jerry Simpson and Kaleb Howard.

Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville is in charge of the arrangements for the family of Everett Eugene Crabtree.
