Family members, close friends, and individuals who know someone who struggles with drug addiction and the general public are invited to attend a free event at Mountain Peoples Health Councils Inc.’s Oneida clinic to learn more about the lifesaving benefits of Naloxone. Often referred to as Narcan, the drug is designed to immediately reverse an opioid overdose. The event will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the organization’s Oneida Clinic, which is located at 460 Industrial Lane. Upon completion of the training, participants will be certified to administer Naloxone and the first 45 will receive a free Naloxone rescue kit. For more information about the free training, contact Behavioral Health Case Managers Brooke Claborn at (423) 569-4606 or Jamie Tedder at (423) 627-2782.
