Huntsville Man Accused of Nearly Striking Employees Entering Factory; Damaging Vehicles

Huntsville, TN (2018-02-13) A Huntsville man that allegedly almost struck four persons and damaged nineteen vehicles in the parking lot of local factory has been booked on reckless endangerment and vandalism charges.

Charles A. Greene

Charles A. Greene, 24, of Huntsville was booked into the Scott County Jail last week following an incident at Tennier Industries last Thursday.  According to an arrest warrant written by Deputy Gordon Byrd of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, Greene was the person behind the wheel of a SUV that nearly struck four employees and damaging 19 vehicles in the parking lot.

Authorities say Greene was bringing his girlfriend to work last Thursday, when he entered the parking lot of Tennier Industries at a high rate of speed, and nearly struck three employees making their way into the factory.  One of those employees reportedly had to jump back between other vehicles to keep from getting hit.  After dropping his girlfriend off, Greene allegedly backed out of a parking spot and started spinning his tires.  Authorities say Greene cut deep ruts in the parking lot and threw gravel on multiple cars.  As he exited the parking lot, Greene is accused of nearly striking another employee.

Greene was charged with four counts of reckless endangerment and nineteen counts of vandalism of less than $1000.
