Mrs. Shirley Jean LaRue, age 82, of Huntsville, TN, formerly of Jamestown, TN, departed this life on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN. Born August 6, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Lewis LaRue, and Eunice Isabella Lawyer LaRue of San Bernardino, California. Mrs. LaRue was a member of the Lighthouse Congregation of Jamestown. She loved people and delighted in her art work, crocheting, and knitting, and giving those things away to people she came in contact with.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph King of Jamestown, TN; and one daughter, Betty Lockwood of California.
Survivors include her three sons, Bruce, Brian and Bryce Lockwood all of California; one brother, Darrell LaRue of Reno Nevada; special friends, Ray Lewallen, Kathy Stanley, and Gail Lewallen; the staff at Huntsville Manor Nursing and Rehab Center; and many other friends, relatives and loved ones that she cherished.
Mrs. LaRue will lie in state Thursday, January 11, 2018, from 11:00 A. M. until
1:00 P.M. at Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville, during which time friends may visit and pay their final respects. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in the Sunbright Community of Morgan County.
