69th Annual Scott County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade Saturday

Huntsville, TN (2017-11-30) Its been a holiday tradition for nearly seven decades, and the 69th annual Scott County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade will again delight the young and young at heart.  The parade will step off at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

“We’re super excited,” said Stacey Swann, the Executive Director of the Scott County Chamber of Commerce.  With the deadline past, the organization has received a near record number of entries for this year’s parade, which will boast at least seventeen beautifully decorated floats.  In addition to floats, the parade will feature a host of entries by civic, not-for-profit, and youth organizations, beauty pageant winners, antique cars, trucks, and tractors, emergency response vehicles, and of course, Santa Claus.

12th District State Senator Ken Yager will serve as this year’s Grand Marshal.

“We hope that everyone will take the time to come out and enjoy the parade and spend a little time shopping our local stores,” said Ben Garrett, President of the Chamber of Commerce.  The Chamber of Commerce represents nearly 150 business, industry, and individual members; many of them small, locally owned interests that offer unique and one-of-a-kind shopping experiences.

The parade will step off from the parking lot of HBD Industries at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.  It will then turn onto north Alberta Street and travel to Claude Terry Drive.
