AMBER Alert Issued for Missing Wartburg Toddler

UPDATE 8:30 PM – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reports the child has been found in Morgan County.

Wartburg, TN (2017-09-13) A statewide AMBER ALERT has been issued for the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office for 3-month old toddler that was allegedly taken by his non-custodial father from a home in Wartburg Wednesday morning.

Authorities are searching Russell Joe Roysden, a 3-month old toddler from Morgan County, who was last seen at his residence in Morgan County.  Authorities say the toddler was kidnapped from the home around 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning by his non-custodial father, identified as Jerry Alan Roysden.  The elder Roysden is said to have a violent criminal history.  A warrant for kidnapping has been issued for his arrest.

Russell Joe Roysden is described as 2 ft. 2 in. tall with blond hair and blue eyes.  Jerry Roysden is a 56-year-old white male.  He is 6 ft tall and weighs 170 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Authorities do not have a clothing description or direction of travel.
