Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

CASA of the Tennessee Heartland’s Scott County program office is seeking volunteers to advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children.  CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) are appointed by a juvenile judge and are trained to research a child’s life in order to make recommendations to the court relating to securing a permanent, safe home for the child.

Volunteers must pass a background check and successfully complete a training course prior to assuming a case.  To request an application packet or for additional information, please contact the Scott County CASA office at (423) 663-8943.
