Kentucky Woman Booked For Selling Meth

Oneida, TN (2017-05-15) A Kentucky woman is facing felony drug charges after authorities say she attempted to sell methamphetamine to an undercover informant.

Abigail Marie Murphy, age 18, of Williamsburg, KY was arrested last Tuesday by the 8th Judicial District Drug Task Force for allegedly attempting to sell methamphetamine.  According to a warrant penned by Drug Agent Bill Miller, who also works for the Oneida Police Department, Murphy allegedly agreed to meet a confidential informant at a predetermined location near the Tennessee/Kentucky state line to sell an 8-ball and a half of meth.  When Murphy arrived, authorities took her into custody. She reportedly admitted the drugs were hers and she had intended to sell them.

Authorities reportedly found two baggies of crystal meth and another baggie of marijuana.

Murphy was charged with possession of meth (a schedule II controlled substance) for resale, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
