Mrs. Pansy M. Hall Blevins, born June 14, 1938 in Elgin, Tennessee passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones, on October 4, 2016. Pansy was of the Baptist faith, an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #5669 of Oneida, Tennessee, the American Legion, a gifted seamstress, wonderful cook, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her sweet nature was infectious. She left this life as she lived it, graceful and dignified.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David Hall and Lucy Lavender Hall; infant daughter, Rhonda Kay Ward; five brothers, five sisters, and grandson, James Michael Blevins.
She is survived by her husband, James Roscoe Blevins, Sr. of Pine Creek in Oneida, Tennessee; children, Dwayne Ward of Louisville, Kentucky, Terrie Lynn Lawson and husband, Roger, of Magnolia, Delaware, Rocky Blevins and wife, Shelly, of Louisville, Kentucky, Valerie Crees and husband, Justin, of Louisville, Kentucky, and Berlinda Stockdale and husband, Phillip, of Louisville, Kentucky; fourteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sisters, Dixie Brooks of Englewood, Ohio, and Bea Foster of Gardner, Illinois; many nieces, nephews, and special friends, Susie Taylor and Geneva Vanhook of Oneida, Tennessee.
Friends may visit with the Blevins family on Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Keeton officiating.
Interment will follow in the Blevins Family Cemetery on Pine Creek Road.
