Job Watch: Unemployment Rate Down in August

Nashville, TN (2015-09-24) The volatility in the local job market continues, as the job picture in ScottCounty improved significantly in August.  The August report is in stark contrast to July, when the jobless number spiked.  In one month, Scott County went from experiencing the greatest percentage increase to having the greatest percentage decrease in unemployment across the state.  While the unemployment rate improved, the employment situation in Scott County actually got worse in August.
